~*happy Valentine's Day*~

Just in time........................

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY....

It's a day all about Love - Roses - Chocolate - Wishes

A day where florists make loads of money, where they have all the right to overprice their roses and flowers and yet still alot of "valentines" buying them. There is one florist in Wellington who has a very unique character. She has refused to sell roses and refuse to do deliveries as she thinks the price is too unfair and hence the deliveries are too demanding in a day. Good on you miss florist! I salute you... Honestly, with my character and my study, the nature of business is to earn money. If there's an opportunity to make money then you have to grab this moment and get the most out of it. In fact miss florist down at Wellington decided not to! This is probably one thing that I can't do...

Anyhow, I'm saying this not because I'm feeling dissapointed with myself that I went to the gym after work, then food shopping and went home open a can of nacho sauce and stick it in the microwave and dah da..... my dinner. No this is not bad at all, you know why? Because car parks are available at the gym with 0mins of waiting (usually the wait is up to 20mins) SCORE~ Then went to food shopping, no waiting in the line... well.. didn't make a difference, coz I was at supermarket at around 8pm. Oh, having my favourite nachos and watching TV at home with no interruptions and no rushing traffic in restaurants SCORE!

No sad talks here... hehehe... Because I have my present...

oooo... it's so pretty!!! :) I always know how to treat myself good... lol (Yea, just another reason to buy myself a gift... kekekek)

This is not all... what actually made my day is the dark chocolate that I got from Joey... *touched* Thank you....

Night out.... Take care...

~* Chinese New Year*~

Home sick...?! What? Me? Homesick? That's a bit odd, as I don't normally have this feeling. Over the years (counting with my 10 fingers and ran out...) 15 years being away from home, well, I should have got used to it.

Of course, in a way living away from home and have to take care of myself are no stranger to me. But, during the time of Chinese New Year (CNY) the feeling of home sick starts flowing in. For the past four days I have made almost 10 contacts with my family, just wanted to hear their voices during this time of the year. Feeling like... I am with them celebrating one of the important festive with my family.

Usually, we will put on new clothes and make lots of yummy food and prepare all sort of snacks during this time of the year. This is because CNY is all about gathering, eating and chatting, from the day of CNY eve the big feed starts kicking in until the 15th day of NY.

Now... being spending my 1st and 2nd day of CNY by myself, oh and my TV! The Chinese TV shows are the only thing that reminds me that it's the new year.

I miss the gathering...

Then I miss the lion dance...

Have a prosperous year!! ^o^

~*It Begins From Here*~

I have to make a start of pursuing my next step for my career. This is it...

It's funny how much my view has become clearer as of 2008. For some reason, I can't see the point of where I can continue growing in my career until I start doing something about it.

Then also my perspective is becoming wider as I see how things are not going to work if this some people are not listening despite how many times you have said it and made yourself clear.

Then the whole comfort zone kicked in... as you are deiciding to leave your comfort zone, this is going to be tough and future is kinda unforseeable... However, I have trust in myself...

~*Summer Summer*~

It's the Summer and we should be in the middle of Summer if I'm correct. I love the weather I love the heat. Ok.... it kinda remind me of home, but it's a different kind of heat.

I love Summer as this is the best time of the year. Sometimes I wonder, can we just biffed Winter? haha...

I love Summer is the fact that I can just live with t-shirt, short and jandals.

I love Summer is the fact that it will not increase my apetite.

I love Summer is because everyone seems to a bit happier.

I love Summer because no heavy; thick jacket needs to be worn.

I love Summer is because this is the time of the year that you can enjoy Summer Ale... Yummm... hmmm...

I love Summer is because sunset is at 9pm and sunrises at 5:50am. You have much more sunlight.

During Summer, there's always a reason to take a walk down the road tp get smoothies or fruit juice. hhhmmmm.....

One thing about Summer though, it's I don't have any sunnies and I will look absolutely like a monkey when sun strike.

Oh Summer Summer..... :D

~*NY Resolutions*~

After 15days into year 2008, it's finally come to the time to jot down some of my new year resolutions for 2008.

I have actually just started doing it at the start of 2006. Does it actually work? In terms of, whether or not I really do what I have set myself to achieve? Ok, honestly, I haven't actually review the list after I wrote it. hehehe... However, it's more like a check-list for myself for the end of the year.

My 2007 new year resolutions has been recorded in my old blog. Checklist start:

1) Work on my attitudes; attitudes make-over. With this, I have worked on my indecisive and be more agressive then work towards my goal. I have actually work towards a more "straight to the point" attitude and try not to beat around the bush.

2) Take a course or self-study on Excel. Ha... no I have not taken any course related to this. :( However, I reckon I need to take a course on some sort to upgrade myself.

3) Be more organise. Yes, I think I have achieve this. I have use my diary, at least I clean my house once a week and keeping to an acceptable level. 80% punctuality, I reckon. So this one, have more to work towards.

4) Investment. I don't have $$ for investment. But I have spent $$ to advanced my knowledge by doing some travelling. :)

5&6) DO MORE EXCERCISE . I did managed to go to the gym at least twice a week. hehehe... but still have not taken up hiking.

Something that I have achieve during year 2007:

Before:

After:

Well... according to my scale figure I have lost some weights. Which I am glad of... :)

7) Take care of my friends whenever I can and keeping a close relationship with them. Appreciate of having them in my life. I have not taken anyone for granted... and I know I should not be.

8) FAMILY. Have always been and always gonna be my FIRST. Been back home twice for family weddings this year and was so happy that I have a lot of involvement in these two weddings also get to spend time with my family. ^_^

9) The Lord. My first priority.

10) Pursue my career. I am planning on this one, definitely one of my main goals this year.

Look like I haven't done too bad with my new year resolution of 2007. :) Of course, more works need to be done this year and in a harder way too.

Apart from working on with the ones that I have got from last year, there are a few additional to the list.

1) Save... save... save....

2) Read more books.

3) Start a budget and work on it.

4) Plan for OE

5) Develop and interest.

~*Continue- Family Wedding *~

Like my cousin has requested and waiting for my continue story from the wedding. So, without further ado.... let me continue... lol Thanks for your support though... ~^_^~ *Smile with tears*

The wedding was last month, however, I can still almost clearly remember the preparation of the wedding and what happened during the day of the big day 20th Dec. Well, actually I have watched the wedding video and so it brought back the memory.

Being one of cousin of the groom, you will definitely been assigned to a job or a role. So, as you can imagine everyone was busy with their own role on the day before the wedding. The 'leading car' was decorated by Sin and Nora...maybe some help from others, I wasn't quite sure but managed to rushed out to take some photos of the car.

First timer of docrating the "leading car" was a pretty good success I must say, I am proud of you!!

As you can imagine anything can happen during this big day. My sister's (Ivy) wedding back in June reminded me of a movie call Forces of Nature. That was because we have to take a road trip to Sandakan couples of days earlier for the wedding and we have encountered rain and heavy haze during our road trip and reminded me so much of the movie. Of course in a funny way, was overall a good topic to talk about years later.

Then this time, Chester's wedding... This kinda reminded me of My Best Friend's Wedding. Not that there were anyone who jumped in the wedding trying to take the bride or the groom away. It's just all the preparations and then some of the dramas.

E.g. My MC partner almost didn't make it as he missed his flight during the busiest time of the year, luckily bought another two extra tickets with one transit and finally reached his destination.

Applause to MC Choon Sze!! lol....

Then our pianist only have one night to prepare for his procession music... Arrived on the 19th Dec evening and I picked him up from the airport, I think he managed to take a shower then straight away has to attend the rehersal with very little preparations. Then it turned out to be just as fine....

So another big applause to our pianist Chit Hen... (For a moment there, I felt like I was drift driver. Driving from the airport to the chapel not only once but twice during that evening.

Third hiccup of the event was.... the morning ceremony was due to start at 9am. The decorations of the marquee should be ready by 8am, however, bu 8am the helpers were still at home preparing themselves. I guess our family was pretty good at rushing at the last minutes, without not much of a problem the marquee was looking beautifully by 8:45am, according to the shedule.

All I can say is... we are getting more and more experience. So with any further family wedding, I think we can just pull out the template and work from there. :)

Last but not least.... the after wedding party was FUN! Let's say CHEERS!

Pat on our backs.... GO THE HELPERS!!
