~*Dennis & Irene Wedding*~

My dear 3rd sister's wedding was about three weeks ago, since then I have been trying to upload some photos to my facebook, however, for some reason it always fail to upload. Hence, the only way to share the photos with my friends and family (you know who you are...lol) is through here.

Then this can be a story telling blog in regards to this famiy wedding. Well, really, these photos were not really taken by me, some of them were from my sister and some by my cousin. I was just way too busy slaving to take any pictures.

We were hiding in this room while the groom came around to pick-up his bride. (well, just want to make it harder to get...) lol...
Apparently, the grooms and his "brothers" were searching around the house... every single rooms except this one.

So with no time wasted we took this opportunity to take some photos in the room. (Please excuse my fat arm). Yes, there were a few of us, there were more than a dozen of us in the room.

Dennis finally found his bride in the wardrobe after mistakenly thought she was in the bathroom and sang out loud "You are so beautiful to me~~~" at the wrong door.

The church decoration was well-donely done (sound a bit odd, but you get me) by my older sister Nora and my cousins.

Well, we got a biiiiit nervous at the start for this 1000+ guests wedding reception. I'm sure we pulled it off well at the end... Thanks to the red wine... *big smile*

Taking pictures with the family after the wedding reception.

Now, the MCs present you Mr. & Mrs Wong!!!!!! CONGRATS!

~*Things that I have done on the last day of Nov 08*~

On the last day of Nov 08, I got up on a nice sunny Sunday early morning after a long distance call from my cousin, Chester (who intentionally wanted to awake me). With a nice beach view in front of me AND I got up in between my two little cousins. Who one was snoring all night long and the other one on my left was sleep talking all night long which frankly gave me a fright. *chuckle*

In about a week ago, Dad asked me if I wanted to attend one of his staff's wedding in country side which is about 3 hours drive from home. I have agreed to go with him since it's a traidtional Malay wedding ceremony. As a big fan of wedding (don't get me wrong) I just like to attend weddings as it's just so happy to see how two blessed family combined to one.

From memory, the last Malay wedding that I have attennded must be before the age of 7yrs old. So this really excites me.

The entrance to the bride's home. (The groom is coming to come to bride's home)

These are the chairs for the bride and groom to sit at for the ceremony. (Very pretty~~)

Under the house, there were a group of makcik (aunties) playing traditional musical intrumens and dancing with it. Note: This side of the house is only for women

The arrival of the groom with makcik-makcik playing traditional musics making his entrance to the bride's home.

Traditional "feeding each other" ceremony. (I don't know what's the proper word for this... hehehe"

Though it was a very hot sunny day (I even got tanned skin), it was overall a very fun and interesting day. Trust me, it's so hot that everyone been hiding under sun shades, despite of the hot weather, everyone still had fun being away from the city and enjoying the kampung (village) style wedding.

~*Continue- Family Wedding *~

Like my cousin has requested and waiting for my continue story from the wedding. So, without further ado.... let me continue... lol Thanks for your support though... ~^_^~ *Smile with tears*

The wedding was last month, however, I can still almost clearly remember the preparation of the wedding and what happened during the day of the big day 20th Dec. Well, actually I have watched the wedding video and so it brought back the memory.

Being one of cousin of the groom, you will definitely been assigned to a job or a role. So, as you can imagine everyone was busy with their own role on the day before the wedding. The 'leading car' was decorated by Sin and Nora...maybe some help from others, I wasn't quite sure but managed to rushed out to take some photos of the car.

First timer of docrating the "leading car" was a pretty good success I must say, I am proud of you!!

As you can imagine anything can happen during this big day. My sister's (Ivy) wedding back in June reminded me of a movie call Forces of Nature. That was because we have to take a road trip to Sandakan couples of days earlier for the wedding and we have encountered rain and heavy haze during our road trip and reminded me so much of the movie. Of course in a funny way, was overall a good topic to talk about years later.

Then this time, Chester's wedding... This kinda reminded me of My Best Friend's Wedding. Not that there were anyone who jumped in the wedding trying to take the bride or the groom away. It's just all the preparations and then some of the dramas.

E.g. My MC partner almost didn't make it as he missed his flight during the busiest time of the year, luckily bought another two extra tickets with one transit and finally reached his destination.

Applause to MC Choon Sze!! lol....

Then our pianist only have one night to prepare for his procession music... Arrived on the 19th Dec evening and I picked him up from the airport, I think he managed to take a shower then straight away has to attend the rehersal with very little preparations. Then it turned out to be just as fine....

So another big applause to our pianist Chit Hen... (For a moment there, I felt like I was drift driver. Driving from the airport to the chapel not only once but twice during that evening.

Third hiccup of the event was.... the morning ceremony was due to start at 9am. The decorations of the marquee should be ready by 8am, however, bu 8am the helpers were still at home preparing themselves. I guess our family was pretty good at rushing at the last minutes, without not much of a problem the marquee was looking beautifully by 8:45am, according to the shedule.

All I can say is... we are getting more and more experience. So with any further family wedding, I think we can just pull out the template and work from there. :)

Last but not least.... the after wedding party was FUN! Let's say CHEERS!

Pat on our backs.... GO THE HELPERS!!

~*Family wedding*~

Yet another family wedding, this time was my cousin Chester's wedding and this time my job has been allocated as being the emcee of the night. Luckily I was accompanied with my other cousin Choon Sze.

This was my first time of being an emcee, I have had presentation experience from the past but not public speaking in front of 400+ guests. This was scary, the preparation started almost 2 months ago, being me seraching and doing a lot of research on the stuff that I can say and also script I download from the net. I thought everything was good until the day was here, I was so nervous and needed red wine to calm me down.

Some of the preparation work the night before the wedding:
The house was so crowded and filled up with about 30+ of us and so glad to see all my cousins and get together. We were preparing our script and wrote on the cube cards.

I was lucky that there was nothing much that I have to do for the morning ceremony so I just get to relax and enjoy the beautiful wedding. Funnily at the same time at the same hotel gardern, there were a group of monks who were accompanied with lion dance, this have actually brought in some culture combinations. Anyway, the wedding has attracted tourists who walked past and join the us to witness the ceremony.
